Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors: Bucks may say goodbye to Monroe

The Milwaukee Bucks have been relatively underwhelming this season despite a lot of promise, and they are again being linked to a trade that could change the composition of their team.
Currently hovering around the .500 mark, the Bucks are still hoping to improve to become a playoff team this year, but it is apparent that there needs to be some changes in order for them to break into the higher levels in the league.
One of the names in the Bucks' lineup often seen in trade rumors is Greg Monroe. In recent rumors, it appears that Monroe is being linked to a West Coast heavyweight, the Golden State Warriors.
Sources say that Monroe could help the Warriors as they would definitely have a new threat in the roster outside of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Golden State also have capable players on the bench with the likes of Andre Iguodala who can be in the starting lineup for most teams. Having Monroe injected will definitely give them a new edge.
The question remains as to who the Bucks could take from the Warriors to make the deal worthwhile.
Looking at his numbers, Monroe does not put up great averages as he nets 14.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per night throughout his career. However, he shoots at a high rate, at 51 percent from the field and is also relatively reliable from the free throw line.
One of the problems Monroe has with the Bucks that hinders his effectiveness is the way the Bucks want to play. Milwaukee have a young core that wants to play fast. Monroe is used to a more methodical way of playing, which makes it tough for him to stay on the floor.
If he moves to the Warriors, it should be interesting to see how his role will change and if he can adapt to one of the strongest teams in the league.
