Ever since reports of the upcoming Xbox Scorpio started to emerge all over the internet, the new console has been surrounded by rumors and speculations suggesting its release date and its current development status. According to the latest news, the new Xbox gaming console carries specs and features as powerful as those on PCs. However, many fans are wondering if the system can keep up with newer and powerful PCs that are expected to hit the tech market each year.

According to a report by Forbes, Xbox Scorpio is going to surprise a lot of people once it hits the shelves next year. According to the publication, the powerful console will match the performance of the latest PC technologies in the market today.

There are speculations suggesting that Xbox Scorpio will be five times as powerful as the current Xbox One.

During a recent interview with the Gaming Bolt, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz of CD Projekt RED revealed that had the Xbox Scorpio been available during the development of the new "The Witcher" game, the title would have appeared a lot better than the current version.

"For sure [the Scorpio] will have better-looking games," Tomaszkiewicz explained. "If this was available when we were working on Wild Hunt I would expect similar quality that we have on PC right now or even better maybe."

Nonetheless, Tomaszkiewicz added that the fast growing technology of the PC systems will certainly overwhelm the upcoming Xbox Scorpion in terms of power.

"This is my personal opinion: I don't know that much about it. I think PCs are growing and developing super fast," Tomaszkiewicz said. "New graphic cards are being released very often and more often than the new consoles being released. So I think it will put Scorpio on par with the PC is that we have at that point. But I think PC is growing so fast that it'll outpace [Scorpio]."
