Ever since the current Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was released in 2015, tech observers have already started to spread numerous rumors about the company's plan to release a new iteration. According to reports, the American software company is now gearing up for the release of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
According to the latest reports, Microsoft is said to release the device with a preinstalled Windows 10 Redstone 2. There have been speculations suggesting that the company might release the new laptop in June to compete with Apple's MacBook Pro 2016. The new Apple laptop is said to be the highlight of the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016, which is slated to happen in June.
There have been contradicting reports about the development and the release date of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Earlier reports said that the launching of the device may not happen until 2017; however many fans have reasons to believe that the release will happen earlier than expected.
According to Tech Radar, the Surface Pro 4 was released in October 2015. Although it is unlikely for the company to release the new device in June, many fans believe that it is possible. That is because of the numerous complaints about the current device's battery issues.
Fans have also noted the current price cuts on the Surface Pro 4 as a good indication that something new is about to come and replace it.
Meanwhile, although nothing has been set in stone yet, there are speculations suggesting that the new iteration will run on the new Kaby Lake processor from Intel. The superior processor is said to be launched at the upcoming Computex event in Taipei, which will start on May 31.
Rumor has it that Microsoft will announce the Surface Pro 5 anytime soon. For now, fans will have to wait for the company's official announcement before making any assumptions.
