The Microsoft Surface Book 2 has been a subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet for a few months now. According to the latest report, the American software giant is said to be preparing to launch the new laptop to compete with Apple's new releases. However, there are speculations suggesting that the device may not be revealed until the first quarter of 2017.

Tech observers are saying that the release of the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 could be delayed because the current flagship iteration is still doing well in the market. The original device was released in October 2015 and it has continued to show relevance in the market today.

Nonetheless, there are reports stating that Microsoft will launch the device before the annual Apple event. The Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016 will happen in June and if rumors prove to be true, Surface Book fanatics may see a new iteration in the market next month. The new laptop is said to compete with Apple's MacBook Pro, which is rumored to be revealed at the upcoming Apple event.

According to a report by The Bitbag , Microsoft is said to be releasing a much improved Surface Book 2 with impressive specs and features. The publication added that the laptop will have a slimmer design and carries USB Type-C ports. It is reported that the upcoming iteration will feature a Thunderbolt 3 and will have full 4K display support.

The superior specs of the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will certainly give the upcoming Apple's MacBook Pro a run for their money when both devices hit the market.
