Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date and specs rumors: Device competing with MacBook Pro?

There are several reports suggesting that Microsoft is getting ready to launch its latest hybrid device, the Surface Book 2. According to reports, there are speculations saying that the device might come out before the year ends.
If rumors prove to be true, consumers will have a chance to choose the Microsoft Surface Book 2, which is said to sport a high-resolution 4K display. Another feature that is said to be present on the next Surface Book model is the USB Type-C port, which has been used by Apple on several of their devices.
The original Surface Book came out in October 2015 and since then fans have been talking about its next iteration. Dubbed as the "ultimate laptop," the device blew everyone's mind away when it came out. It boasts superior specifications and features that fans all over the world could not wait for the next model to come out. The device was well received by both the fans and critics. The Surface Book was first available through preorders and was sold out after just a week. By mid-October 2015, all stocks, regardless of the model and configuration were no longer available at any Microsoft Store.
Meanwhile, The Surface Book 2 is said to carry impressive specs and features, which will change the people's perception on hybrid devices. According to The Next Rex, the upcoming iteration will be powered by Kaby Lake i5 and i7 chipsets. The new generation of Intel processors is said to be available at the end of the year.
There are reports suggesting that Apple may introduce a new 2016 MacBook Pro at the upcoming company event, Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016 in June. Many people are speculating that Microsoft might reveal the Surface Book 2 to compete with Apple's newest laptop.
