Michael Schumacher health condition news 2016: Is the Formula One racer giving up or still fighting?

Earlier this week, news about seven-time Formula One racer Michael Schumacher's health had a positive ring to it. After those reports were debunked, some news outlets were starting to speculate in the opposite direction; that the racer's health is actually deteriorating.

Recently, Australia Network News reported that although Schumacher has become very thin, he has regained the ability to walk.

On the other hand, Yibada reported that Schumacher currently cries when he hears his family members huddling together.

As previously reported, fans thought he was getting better because of an outdated statement made by Schumacher's former Ferrari boss Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. "I'm very pleased to know that he is reacting," Montezemolo declared.

However, it turned out that news outlets misquoted Montezemolo. He told Spanish publication "El Mundo Deportivo" that those words "are not new, but date back to May 2016." Therefore, it is not reflective of Schumacher's current state.

Despite the varying reports about Schumacher's health, his manager Sabine Kehm has yet to release an official announcement about the racer's health.

To note, Schumacher's family previously requested that people respect their privacy. Hence, there have been no interviews with the family regarding the racer's health. Without a doubt, this ordeal has been tough for them. When they are ready to reveal Schumacher's condition, Kehm will make the announcement for all to hear.

Though everyone is anxious to know how Schumacher is doing, fans should wait for Kehm's official announcement to avoid misleading information about the racer's current state.
