Michael Brown's Mother: 'God Will Prevail'

The mother of teen Michael Brown has issued a statement in the wake of a grand jury announcement that the officer who shot him, Darren Wilson, will not receive criminal charges.
Brown's mother, Lesley McSpadden, was photographed protesting in the streets of Ferguson just mere hours after the grand jury's decision to not indict Wilson. Media reports that McSpadden was seen crying and denouncing the recent grand jury decision.
"Everyone want me to be calm -- do you know how them bullets hit my son, what they did to his body as they entered his body?" she asked. "Nobody had to live through what I lived through."
"They never gonna care," she continued. "I've been here my whole life. I ain't never had to go through nothing like this."
McSpadden was accompanied by her partner, who was also photographed crying.
Brown's parents said in a longer statement that they believe God will prevail in these difficult and uncertain times.
"I know God will prevail. We know it's in God's hands," Brown's mother said while accompanied by her lawyer, Benjamin Crump, and family members.
"God will have justice no matter what," Crump added.
Over 80 people were arrested in the St. Louis area on Monday evening following the announcement that Wilson, who will be leaving the police force, will not be indicted. A grand jury listened to arguments regarding the shooting of Brown, who was unarmed when he was killed by Wilson back in August.
