Miami Heat news updates 2016: Bosh continuing push to play again
With the summer nearing its last leg, NBA teams are now beginning their training camps. The Miami Heat will go through their regular routine but it is unclear what Chris Bosh's part will be.
Bosh is still fighting for his spot in the team and while he is still arguably the best player in the entire Heat line-up, it appears that he is unsure whether he will have a place in the coming year. Bosh revealed in a documentary that he thought he was being "written off" by the team following the series of health scares involving blood clots in his lungs.
As seen in the documentary, Bosh recalled the details following the diagnosis and how he felt that he was immediately brushed aside by the doctors.
"Seeing the team doctors, they told me that my season is over, my career is probably over and this just happens, this is just how it is," he said. "I felt right away that I was written off. It was [claps his hands together] put it to the side matter-of-factly. If a doctor tells me, 'Hey that's it and this is how that is,' and I don't buy that. I have the right to disagree with you," he added.
Bosh has been adamant that he will make it back to the court and he feels that he is taking the necessary steps to be and stay healthy enough to help the team.
Looking at his averages, Bosh brings so much to the table as shown by his 19.1 points per game last season. He was limited to 53 games due to his illness but if Bosh can make it back there should be no problem in producing the same numbers again.
As for the Heat, they definitely need Bosh if he is available.
Many are hoping that Bosh makes it back and he is showing everyone he is doing what he can not to disappoint.
