Konami will finally launch the first official gameplay footage from "Metal Gear Survive," which will be streamed live from the Tokyo Game Show 2016 this coming weekend.

According to IGN, the developer will introduce "the first ever gameplay demo which will include brand new information about the upcoming title." The live broadcast for the game's first gameplay demonstration is scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4:15 JST in Japan (12:15 a.m. PT / 3:15 a.m. ET / 8:15 a.m. BST / 5:15 p.m. AEST). Konami will be hosting a "Metal Gear Survive" event for the demo premiere which will be streamed real time on the company's official YouTube and Niconico pages.

Announced at Gamescom last August, "Metal Gear Survive" is Konami's first game from the "Metal Gear" franchise after series creator Hideo Kojima decided to leave his post. Featuring similar systems to "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," "Metal Gear Survive" is a 4-player stealth game set in an alternate universe which serves as the continuation of the events in "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes."

After the Mother Base was attacked, Militaires Sans Frontières soldiers were sucked into wormholes along with pieces of the base itself. They were led to various alternate timelines, forcing everyone to fight for survival along with their comrades. In the game, players take control of one of these soldiers as they team up with other gamers to take on zombie-looking creatures.

Konami has previously announced that it will not be a full-priced game. Instead of a price around $60, it will be in the vicinity of what "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" cost during its release which was $30. Although a lot of details from the game itself are still under wraps, the latest press release from Konami confirmed that it is currently being "developed by members from the original MGSV:TPP production team."

"Metal Gear Survive" is set to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.
