Meizu Mix release date, specs rumors 2016: Company's first smartwatch features three types of watch straps, LED notification light, Sapphire Glass

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has finally unveiled its smartwatch that many have been speculating about. Dubbed as the Meizu Mix, the product is the company's first ever smartwatch, launching its first smartwatch line.
As detailed in Android Headlines, the watch is currently low listed on a Chinese crowdsourcing site called Taobao. It is expected to hit stores in around September or October. The watch will cost depending on the corresponding watch strap that the users prefer. There are three types of straps available, Denim, Leather and Steel and they will cost 999 Yuan or $151, 1,299 Yuan r $196 and 1,499 Yuan or $226 respectively.
The smartwatch opted for a traditional analog face instead of a digital one. This makes it more of an activity tracker type of smartwatch with smart features. GSM Arena reported that the watch will be equipped with a notification LED that alerts users to any updates. It also vibrates when reminding the user about events. Users will only simple need to connect the watch to their smartphone via Bluetooth LE connectivity.
A Meizu app should also be installed to connect with the smartwatch. Users can enjoy using the device for a long period of time as the company claims that it has a battery life that could span 240 days on standby. This is all possible because of the 270mAh battery incorporated in it. It also helps that the watch has no digital display to power up.
It's also said that the smartwatch features a Swiss movement built into a 42mm 316L steel case and a Sapphire glass. However, as said in a report, these specs are yet to be confirmed as this would mean that the watch has been assembled in Switzerland.
Moreover, the Meizu Mix is said to be packed with an accelerator and gyroscope for activity tracking bases. It's also waterproof with a capability to resist water up to a depth 30 meters. Interested consumers should watch out for more updates soon regarding its release and availability.
