While fans of "Mass Effect" will have to wait probably until early 2017 for the game's release, the developers have not been short of giving their followers updates on what has been happening to the game as of late.

Recently, fans have received the good news that they will get to see the new game, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" in its latest stage of development when developers BioWare confirmed that they will be at the Electronic Arts' EA Play event on June 12.

Many people have been eagerly anticipating "Andromeda" as many have claimed that this game is not part of the trilogy of the "Mass Effect" series before but an entirely different game derived from the original story itself.

Furthermore, developers have reiterated that the reason behind the delay in release is to ensure that expectations from the fans are met.

This has been received with mixed emotions, though, as some have seen it as a positive that more people will be able to relate and enjoy the game.

Unfortunately, there are others who are anticipating the game to be a little watered down and simplified so that casual gamers can connect to it — losing interest with the hardcore gamers and long-time fans of the franchise.

However, looking at the game itself, it seems that there is much to look forward to with "Andromeda." Previous reports revealed that the game takes place a long time after the trilogy, offering some fresh new scenes and new gameplay as they are in the Andromeda Galaxy.

Players will still be able to go through the game either as a male or female character, and they will get to drive a six-wheeled buggy — similar to what was used in the first "Mass Effect" game.

Expect more news on the game in the coming months and even more during BioWare's appearance at EA Play.
