Almost everything about "Mass Effect Andromeda" is being kept secret save for the identity of the protagonists, but a new leak may have uncovered another aspect about the game—its release date.

Comic publisher Dark Horse has announced on its website that they are releasing the collector's edition "The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda" along with the game itself on March 21, 2017.

The limited edition deluxe hardcover features "never-before-seen art of the hotly anticipated game's characters, arsenal, locations, vehicles, and more" although this was not the news that made the headlines.

A listing on Amazon revealed that Dark Horse will release the book "simultaneously with the game," which suggests that "Mass Effect Andromeda" is coming March 21 as well.

At the time of writing, the listing of "The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda" is still online and has not been edited yet, which hints that the release date of the game could indeed be the one listed there.

Bioware is yet to come out with an official statement on the matter and media outlets doubt that the developer will. More details about the game including its release date were expected to be revealed next month at the N7 Day anyway.

With regards to the art hardcover, "Mass Effect Andromeda" creative director Mac Walters spoke about what warrants the release of books involving video games, and successful ones at that.

"As we bring the Andromeda galaxy to life, we realize that there are many untapped stories that could be better told through comics. These stories give our fans a more in-depth understanding of the motivations of the explorers making that journey, from their perspective," Walters said via the Dark Horse website.

"Our creative partnership with Dark Horse goes all the way back to 'Mass Effect 2' and we are excited to expand that partnership within the Andromeda galaxy," he continued.
