'Mass Effect 4: Andromeda' news: Release date, price and updates

Gamers will have to wait until next year to have their hands on the "Mass Effect 4: Andromeda," since EA's financial presentation has mentioned its launch early in 2017.
According to EA's chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen, "Mass Effect 4: Andromeda" will not be released until the company's Q4. "We have our Mirror's Edge runner game this first quarter, and then we have Mass Effect, which is a sci-fi action game, in our fourth quarter. So big year ahead and we're pretty excited," he said. The launch might be around January to March, given that EA's third quarter commences in December as reported by TechRadar.
New Titanfall and Battlefield games for Xbox and PC are also underway. "We've got a great year ahead... we've got our Battlefield first-person shooter game coming in the third quarter, and our third-party title that Respawn, our partner, built, it's called Titanfall, it's the second title that they brought into that brand. Both of those are first-person shooters and will be targeted around the fast, action-driven shooter market, as well as the strategy-driven market in that quarter," Jorgensen stated.
"Mass Effect 4: Andromeda" features the protagonist as a human, and Andromeda is a new galaxy which the player navigates using the Mako. Used in the first "Mass Effect," the Mako is a six-wheeled vehicle improved to become faster for the latest game. Producer Mike Gamble gave away some hints regarding the Mako's capabilities, including hovering and jumping to another planet, as reported by PCAdvisor.
Followers of the BioWare series will be happy to know that despite the 2017 release, 'Mass Effect 4: Andromeda' is currently available for pre-order via Amazon. The game is priced at £54.99 for PS4 and Xbox One, while the PC version is £39.99.
Meanwhile, as fans await the newest installment for "Mass Effect," they can check out the Mass Effect amusement park in California set to open this year.
