'Major Crimes' season 5 spoilers, plot news: Gruesome murder dooms Sanchez's future as foster parent?

In the last episode of "Major Crimes" season 5, viewers saw how a house tripping turned into a crime investigation. This coming episode, Sanchez will discover that his job could potentially jeopardize his chance of becoming a foster parent.
The last episode titled "Skin Deep" of the American police procedural series saw Flynn (Tony Denison) entertaining the idea of buying a new house. However, as he was consulting with Provenza (GW Bailer) and Buzz (Phillip P. Keene) to ask for their two cents, they were faced with a case that they had to investigate right away.
The murder involved a victim who seemed to be a detestable person that everyone would have the motive to kill. Meanwhile, the episode also touched on Julio Sanchez's quest to become a foster parent, something he has been working on for the last few episodes.
Actually, the upcoming fifth episode titled "Cashed Out" will touch on his desire to be a foster parent, as Carter Matt shared.
"Det. Julio Sanchez's application to become a foster parent is jeopardized by his reactions to a particularly gruesome murder after the Major Crimes Division finds a chopped up body burned to bits in the barbecue pit of an L.A. Park. Christopher Gorham guest stars."
Apparently, the Major Crimes Division will be involved in a gruesome crime, and Sanchez's behavior during the investigation could make him rethink his decision to adopt a child. Seeing as how a child, biological or foster, needs a safe environment to thrive in, the latest case might affect him, as any normal parent would be.
Meanwhile, "Major Crimes" creator and executive producer James Duff talked with Parade where he dished on Sanchez's quest to become a foster parent.
"Sanchez's dating life is not going very well, and he's applied to be a foster parent, so one entire case is done while the Department of Children and Family Services interviews all of his coworkers about his suitability to be a parent. Having a child is a transformational experience ... Having children changes us ... So, he is seeking transformation."
"Major Crimes" season 5 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on TNT.
