Following a tow yard shootout, the Major Crimes division desperately track down a shooter on the loose in the upcoming episode of TNT's cop drama "Major Crimes" season 5.

On Monday's episode titled "Moral Hazard," three innocent lives were cut short after a distressed man shoots at people in a tow yard. The team must race the clock to find him before he does more damage again. Meanwhile, Rusty goes out of his way to help find leads on the murder of Buzz's father and uncle. To give fans an idea on what the team will be up to, the official synopsis for episode 7 reads:

"After a shootout in a tow yard leaves three people dead, Major Crimes must scramble to find a disturbed man with a bag full of guns and a long list of grievances before he kills again. Meanwhile, Rusty pushes against LAPD policy in an attempt to find more evidence related to the murder of Buzz's father and uncle."

In an interview with TV Line for the season 5 premiere, series creator James Duff mentioned that Buzz will have a lot to deal with after the murder of his father and uncle. It will be an ongoing storyline as the show continues and the team will help in finding the suspect.

"I would say the character with the most on their plate is actually Buzz," he said, "because — and we've established this in previous seasons — his father and his uncle were murdered, and he's gone to great lengths to get the files on that case. That's the story that plays out through the season, and everybody gets involved in it."

After next week's episode, the series will take a short break to give way for the upcoming Olympics.
