'Mafia 3' release date rumors and news: New game will be released in October?

Game developer, Hangar 13 and publisher, 2K Games might be giving fans a treat as rumors are circulating over the internet that "Mafia 3" will be released as early as October 2016. The much-anticipated action-adventure video game is said to have a big release, according to various reports.

Wario64, a renowned game industry insider, recently tweeted with a prediction that 2K Games will release "Mafia 3" in October, which is the same month Microsoft Studios will release the upcoming third sequel of "Gears of War."

"Mafia 3 is releasing in the same month as Gears of War 4," Wario64 wrote on his Twitter account.

It will be interesting how the two video games will do as they go head to head against each other in the market.

2K Games will release a new teaser trailer tomorrow, which is said to officially launch the game. It will be available on the company's YouTube channel starting 8 AM EST. No other details have been provided by both Hangar 13 and 2K Games with regard to the upcoming trailer; however, many fans believe that it will include the official release date of the game.

"Mafia 3" will focus on Lincoln Clay, a war veteran who returns from Vietnam to start his own crime syndicate. An organized mob decided to strike against Clay, killing every single member of his gang, murdering his family and friends. Clay is left with nothing and it is up to the players to help him build his own gang again before seeking revenge on the people who are responsible for killing his entire circle.

"Mafia 3" is expected to be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. Both the developer and publisher have been conservative about providing major details of the game; however, fans expected them to release leaks after leaks until its final release.
