'Mafia 3' release date news 2016: New gameplay gives players more freedom to enjoy the game

2K Games has recently released a new trailer for the upcoming shooter video game "Mafia 3." The trailer reveals new features in the gameplay, including a new setting that allows the players to decide for their own in achieving their specific goals.

The new clips in the latest "Mafia 3" trailer show the player characters deciding on their own how the events in the game would play out. The players are now given more freedom to choose their own way, and they are also enabled to interact completely with the rest of the criminal underworld. Compared to the previous "Mafia" titles, the upcoming video game will have greater depth and clearer details in tackling the criminal organizations.

Specifically, the players are now free to make different choices on how they would like to finish a certain mission, or how they are going to accomplish every objective of their quest, the Gaming Bolt reported. The players can now lead a siege to a criminal hideout or seize a safe house, as well as gathering intelligent reports regarding the mafias' lair.

As Rock Paper Shotgun reported, players can now also accomplish additional missions that are more "inquisitive." These extra missions are not added in order to keep the pacing of the game's story, instead they are intended to establish to central narrative of the game that is centered on the mafias' criminal activities.

It was already announced last April 19 via 2K Games' Twitter account that the newest "Mafia" installment will be available on Oct. 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC gaming platforms
