Maddie Ziegler 2016 news: Ziegler flies to Arizona to meet up with Kalani Hilliker
"Dance Moms" alum Maddie Ziegler has received so much praise and opportunity for bigger projects after she was picked up by singer-songwriter Sia. Even though she has a relatively packed schedule and she has parted ways with her co-dancers in the show, she still remains close with her former co-star Kalani Hilliker.
Ziegler and Hilliker may not see each other that often anymore, but the former shared a sweet photo of the both of them on Instagram, showing how much the latter means to her despite their parting ways.
Ziegler captioned the photo with, "happy 16th birthday kalans! you are beautiful, selfless, trusting, and all around the best friend/sister to spend time with. i sent you something special on text so i won't go into detail but thank you for always being you. i love you sooooo much."
Furthermore, Ziegler took the time off to visit her friend in Arizona. A short clip of the dancers' reunion showed how excited they were to see each other again.
On a very different note, Ziegler's fame became an opportunity for a Texas local to prey on underage girls. Even though her sudden rise to fame has gotten her so much success, the young star's popularity and influence on young audience have been used as an instrument by a sick predator to lure young girls. A sexual predator by the name of Steven Jones reportedly used Maddie Ziegler's name and influence to lure innocent girls. The 35-year-old man made a fake account under the dancer's name, which he then used to attempt to meet up with unsuspecting fans.
According to ABC 7, Galveston County Assistant District Attorney Adam Poole stated that Jones would engage in communications with these underage girls on Facebook. His ploy was shattered when he asked one girl to send a nude photo. The child's parents immediately alerted the police, which led to his arrest.
