'Madden NFL 17' roster news, review roundup: Latest updates make the game realistic

EA Sports released its latest American football video game on Aug. 23 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. Sources said the developers have made great improvements; however, there are a few issues that have yet to be addressed.

Gamespot rated the 28<sup>th installment with an eight out of 10. The publication stated that the game developers succeeded in tuning its production values as well as highlighting its strengths. The news outlet declares that "Madden 17" is "the most accessible and welcoming Madden in this console generation."

IGN reported that the latest game is a refreshing turn of events from its previous installments. To note, "Madden 15" and "Madden 16" focused on defense and receiving, since it was the visible change in the NFL as well. The news outlet described the current gameplay as fluid, which ultimately made the game more realistic. The outlet commended Madden for illustrating the sport as it truly is, a complicated sport. However, the publication recommended players to use the Skills Trainer tool to help them go over drills, tactics, player positions and more.

Forbes admitted that the latest installment made updates that definitely made the gameplay better. However, the overall developments fell short of their expectations. The publication praised the recent realistic developments in terms of defense. Reducing the catch abilities of players made the defense play more effective. However, the game is still unrealistic in terms of player injuries. The publication noted that offensive linemen are still immune to injuries.

Gamers who want to experience "Madden NFL 17" can opt to purchase the game on Amazon which is currently offering a great deal for the physical copies of "Madden NFL 17." Gamers can enjoy EA Sports' latest American football video game for $40. The promo, launched on Sept. 8, was supposedly a one-day deal. But instead of ending the promo, the online retailer decided to extend it.
