Apple surprised loyal consumers back in September after launching iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch Series 2. Now, recent rumors claim that the much-hyped MacBook Pro will have a late October 2016 release window.

As 9to5Mac points out, Apple usually releases its new MacBooks during the last weeks of October, which seems to be a strategic month for a launch right before the Holiday Season sets in. Similar to the upcoming iMac, the MacBook Pro 2016 is believed to have an impressive Ultra HD 5K display.

In terms of other features, there are speculations that the headphone jack from the MacBook Pro 2016 will be removed. Apple's tech-savvy fans will no longer see the basic 3.5 mm headphone jack because it will be replaced with a new system —the similar technology used in the new iPhone 7. It is also rumored that the laptop will have a touchscreen feature. Aside from the Touch ID support, the MacBook Pro 2016 will have an OLED touch bar, which replaces the present models' function keys row.

As far as internal hardware goes, the MacBook Pro 2016 is believed to have an upgraded AMD Polaris 10 or Polaris 11 chip, along with USB-C ports. The new device, which is dubbed as the thinnest laptop Apple has ever made,  will run on Intel's latest Skylake chipset.

Previous reports already confirmed that Intel's most powerful processor — the Kaby Lake chipset—will be out on 2017. It is speculated that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 models that will be manufactured next year will come with the said state-of-the-art processor, making it more powerful than most competitors in the laptop market.

Most recent reports claim that the MacBook 2016 will have an Oct. 24 release date. After the official reveal, the upcoming flagship laptop is said to be priced between $1300 to $1350.
