There have been several confusing reports with regard to Apple's next laptop release. According to some tech observers, the MacBook Pro 2016 might get launched in September along with other Apple products. The upcoming laptop is said to replace the popular and reliable MacBook Air as the company's flagship portable computer. However, there are also reports suggesting that Apple might release a new MacBook Air model along with the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016.

Amidst all the confusions, the Cupertino based company has yet to provide an official statement regarding the rumors. Nonetheless, fans are pretty positive that the new MacBook Pro model will come out before 2016 ends.

According to a report by Apple Insider, the new laptop will run on the current generation Intel processor, the Skylake. The powerful chipset will be paired with impressive specs that are considered as the best in the market today. It will also be released with a pre-installed MacOS Sierra, which was currently being announced by Apple.

Other features of the device will include the Touch ID, wireless charging capability and an NFC chip. The device is said to be lighter and thinner than its predecessor. It will also carry an OLED panel right above the keyboard to replace the function keys.

Meanwhile, the report about Apple's plan to discontinue the MacBook Air might come as a disappointment for several fanatics. Many users consider the device as a more affordable choice compared to other high-end laptops in the market today.

According to MobilenApps, the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 might get a bigger storage, higher RAM and better battery system.

Previous reports suggested that the new Apple device might come in two variations â€“ 13 and 15-inch models. If rumors prove to be true, the 13-inch version might get a price tag of $999, while the 15-inch model will be available for $1,599.

As of the moment, Apple has yet to confirm the release date of the MacBook Pro 2016.
