If the latest rumors are anything to go by, the next iteration of MacBook Pro is expected to arrive this September, possibly coinciding with other big releases of Apple this year.

The upcoming big event of the Cupertino-based tech giant is said to feature the iPhone 7, but according to the latest report from WCCF Tech, Apple will also unveil the new look of the MacBook Pro. It has been more than a year since the previous model of MacBook Pro was released by Apple. The 15-inch variant of the MacBook Pro was released in May last year. Many tech enthusiasts and spectators believe that it is probably high time for Apple to release the follow-up model of the 2015 version.

Furthermore, many Mac followers believe that Apple may be pushing through with the launching of the 2016 MacBook Pro as the company is rumored to be experiencing a decrease in sales of their laptops. It is rumored that Asus, a Taiwan-based multinational electronics company, is already taking over the place of Apple in terms of electronics sales. Therefore, Apple will have no choice but to re-capture the interest of the public by updating the Macbook Pro.

Macworld also noted that Apple's top competitors in the market have already shipped their latest laptop offerings, and seeing the tech giant being left behind is quite intriguing. This may also be a factor in the decreasing sales of the company in the previous months.

Some of the specs rumors regarding the MacBook Pro 2016 is the Touch ID function, USB-C ports, and wireless charging. Apple has already announced that the future MacBook laptops will be running on the new Mac operating system called the MacOS Sierra. The new features of this new MacOS include a fingerprint sensor technology. This will lead to the new MacBook Pro having a fingerprint sensor technology. The biometric features of MacBook Pro 2016 are said to work perfectly with the Touch ID mechanism already featured by the iPhone and iPad.

As for the wireless charging capability of the MacBook Pro 2016, Digi Times reported that Apple has forged a deal with Asian supply chain companies for ICs, which will enable the wireless charging feature for the 2016 MacBook Pro units. It is also expected to include USB-C ports for a slick and slimmer look.
