The next iteration of the MacBook Pro has been speculated by tech enthusiasts and spectators all over the world since late last year. Many Apple followers believe that it is probably high time for Apple to release the next design of the MacBook Pro, and the rumors are rife that the 2016 MacBook Pro will be available sometime in Fall. However, it was recently rumored that this schedule might not happen as the Cupertino-based tech giant is said to use Intel's next generation of processors called the Kaby Lake chipsets, which were rumored by then to be available late 2016 or early 2017.

The good news for those waiting for the new MacBook Pro as of now is that the first batch of the Kaby Lake processors has already been shipped, according to the latest report from the Apple Insider. Still, the names of the companies where Intel shipped the chipsets are not specified. Nevertheless, this raises the chance that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be mass-produced soon and be on time for its Fall release.

According to The Bitbag, the MacBook Pro 2016 has long been rumored to use the next generation of Intel processors after Skylake. The use of Kaby Lake is said to improve the laptop's performance and optimize its battery life. It will prevent the device from using too much power. However, the reports that Intel will be delaying the shipment of the Kaby Lake chipsets sparked the rumor that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be released at a much later date.

Still, Apple Insider cautioned that the shipped Kaby Lake processors may not be for the latest MacBook Pro. There is also a possibility that these chipsets will be used for the latest Apple mobile devices.

So far, the rumored specs of the next MacBook Pro are quite impressive. The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to sport an OLED touch bar for a more classic appearance and efficient use. There are also rumors that the new MacBook Pro will be including the Touch ID function, as Apple has already announced that the future MacBook laptops will be running on the new Mac operating system called the MacOS Sierra.

The new features of the new MacOS include a fingerprint sensor technology, thus raising the possibility that the new MacBook Pro model will be sporting a fingerprint reader. The biometric features of MacBook Pro 2016 are said to work perfectly with the Touch ID mechanism already featured by the latest iPhone and iPad models.
