It has almost been a year since Apple made new versions of its flagship laptop design, the MacBook Pro. Mac users had their hopes up that the latest version of MacBook will be launched by the famous technology company anytime in the past few weeks, as stated in a report from the Parent Herald, Mac fans were expecting Apple will make the big announcement regarding the updated device on March 21, just in time for the company's Spring event. Much to the dismay of all those waiting for a Mac news, there were no mentions about an upgraded MacBook Pro.

As of the meantime, there are two available MacBook Pro models that people can choose from. Apple last updated the 13-inch design of Macbook Pro in March 2015, while the updated version of the 15-inch MacBook Pro was released in May 2015.  It can be expected that Apple will also have two new versions for the two sizes of MacBook Pro.

The rumor began that Apple will be unveiling the latest MacBook Pro laptops in the coming days or weeks when the company started giving away huge discounts for their current MacBook Pro models, as people expected that this move was to give way to Apple's upcoming new line of laptops. Unfortunately, in the Apple Spring event where the rumored launching of MacBook Pro 2016 was expected, the newest iPhone, iPad, and Apple watch products were launched. Any plans regarding the next line of Apple laptops were not addressed during the said event.

Hope still remains that the release of the new MacBook Pro may not require a long wait from the Apple users as DigiTimes reported that the new MacBooks is set for a market release during the second quarter of this year. If this were to verify, MacBook Pro 2016 will compete against the upcoming ultrathin notebooks of Dell and Lenovo.

Regarding the specs of the new MacBook Pro, there are rumors as shared by MoboPicker that Intel's latest integrated Skylake processor will be used to power up the Apple device. It has been a habit for Apple to use the latest Intel processors for their latest gadgets, so this claim may not be too far-fetched.
