There have been numerous reports suggesting that Apple is expected to release a new laptop at the upcoming company event, Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016. The event is set to happen in June and will introduce several Apple products.

The current MacBook Pro laptop was launched in 2015. According to Apple's unveiling cycles, a launching of a new MacBook Pro 2016 is just around the corner.

"MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it's our vision for the future of the notebook," says Apple's SVP of Worldwide Marketing, Phillip Schiller, during press info at the company's main headquarters. "Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish."

Apparently, the Cupertino-based company is making sure that the next MacBook iteration will bring the company back on top of the competition. The recent price cuts for the 13.3-inch MacBook on Best Buy is certainly a good indication that something better is coming.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors suggesting that Microsoft is also planning to release their own hybrid, the Microsoft Surface 5. According to tech observers, the competition will be pretty interesting once both Microsoft and Apple simultaneously release their devices.

Nonetheless, Microsoft and Apple have yet to provide specific details with regard to their releases.

For now, fans will have to wait for Apple to officially announce the MacBook Pro 2016 in June. Despite the lack of details provided by the company, rumors of its specifications have already hit the Internet. According to the report, the new MacBook will be powered by Intel's Skylake processor, which has also been used by other makers such as Microsoft, HP and Dell.

The new Skylake is certainly an upgrade from its previous Broadwell and Haswell processors. Fans are also expecting that the MacBook Pro 2016 will set the standard high.
