Apple has yet to announce the new features of the 2016 MacBook Pro. However, recent speculations suggested that the forthcoming model will be thinner than previous units. Moreover, the device will have a new dynamic function row a Touch ID, and USB Type-C ports.

A source told Bloomberg that a new set of keys called the "Dynamic Function Row" will be installed to enable shortcuts for tasks. The panel, a small strip located at the upper portion of the keyboard, will be made out of organic light-emitting diode. It will showcase a number of common functions so users can accomplish tasks at a relatively faster pace.

The function keys will allegedly adjust depending on the needs of the current task. However, the volume key and the switch to reveal the functions will always be available on the panel.

According to the report, the forthcoming MacBook Pro will be slightly thinner. The device will have a flatter keyboard and shallower curves for the edges.

Aside from that, the Touch ID that has been installed in recent iPhone models will be integrated in the upcoming MacBook Pro unit. A source reported that the Touch ID might be incorporated in the power button or the trackpad. Furthermore, the trackpad will be pressure-sensitive and will be a bit wider in the upcoming model.

The device will also have USB Type-C ports which will allow users to plug in devices to the Mac and charge. With the right kind of adaptor, the laptops can be connected to HDMI and VGA cords.

Siri will also be added to the system. The iMessage application is expected to have new animations and the laptop will have an auto-unlock feature for Apple Watch users.

Reports say that the upcoming MacBook Pro could have the same price as the current available units but Apple has yet to announce a definite price.
