MacBook Pro 2016 release date, news, rumors: Laptop to allow wireless charging, Touch ID?

The next iteration of the MacBook Pro is expected to boast several new features to improve its already sophisticated design. While Apple has not yet released information regarding the new MacBook Pro units, the latest rumors suggest that the 2016 model will be featuring a heightened security feature. Specifically, it is now expected to have a Touch ID feature. Also, the MacBook Pro 2016 might also be featuring wireless charging for the first time.
As reported by Yibada, the Touch ID function of the MacBook Pro is rumored to be a possibility, as Apple has already announced that the future MacBook laptops will be running on the new Mac operating system called the MacOS Sierra. The new features of this new MacOS include a fingerprint sensor technology. This further supports the rumor that the new Macbook Pro units will be having a fingerprint reader. The biometric features of Macbook Pro 2016 are said to work perfectly with the Touch ID mechanism already featured by the iPhone and iPad.
As for the wireless charging capability of the MacBook Pro 2016, Digi Times reported the rumor that Apple has signed a deal with Asian supply chain companies for ICs, which will enable the wireless charging feature of the new MacBook Pro units.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has not yet confirmed the release date of the next MacBook Pro iteration. Many are speculating that the upcoming Apple laptop will be released in the early months of 2017 as there are still no official reports regarding the arrival of the 2016 version of MacBook Pro. However, according to the latest reports, the MacBook Pro 2016 will arrive during the fourth quarter of 2016.
Analyst Ming Chi Kuo of the KGI Securities company has published a recent report stating that Apple is about to unveil the new design of the 13-inch and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro laptops sometime during the fourth quarter of 2016. One major change in these new MacBook Pros is the noticeable thinner and lighter design of the units, Mac Rumors reported. Also, there are reported price discounts on the current 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops, suggesting that the Apple is already clearing the markets' shelves before the arrival of the 2016 MacBook Pro.
