MacBook Air 2016 release date, specs news: Apple aiming for 2016 launch; Laptop to use Samsung technology?

It has been rumored over the past several weeks or months that Apple's upcoming upgrade to the MacBook Air design will be featuring very thin design which can be expected as the thinnest version of the popular laptop line ever. Along with it, MacBook Air 2016 is also rumored to feature much-improved power efficiency and system speed, especially that Apple will be utilizing Samsung's new generation memory chip technology.
Samsung has always been a reliable technology partner of Apple over the past several years, but in some instances, the two have been caught in a rivalry especially with the two company's smartphone flagships (Samsung Galaxy and iPhone).
However, Apple included the South Korean technology and electronics company as an integral part of their supply chain with the production of their latest MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops last year. BGR reported that Apple is expected to be enlisting Samsung's service once again for this year with respect to their Random Access Memory (RAM) expertise.
As reported in Yibada, Apple is rumored to be following the pattern of the 12-inch MacBook Air version in 2015 that followed a thin design and better power efficiency for longer laptop performance. To further improve the system performance, Apple is reportedly considering a change in MacBook Air's core processor, from Intel Broadwell to latest generation Intel Skylake. With this, MacBook Air 2016 can be expected to feature a boost in computing capabilities and speed.
In the same report, the 2016 MacBook Air will be among the first devices where Samsung's extremely fast RAM technology will be used. The 10-nm DDR4 RAM modules rumored to be built by Samsung for the upcoming MacBooks will go smoothly with the new generation Skylake processor to live up to Apple's promise of a better and more convenient laptop experience.
