MacBook Air 2016 release date, rumors update: Laptop launching June 2016?

There have been Interney rumors that Apple's upcoming latest design of MacBook Air will be released this year. There were some rumors pointing towards the "Let Us Loop You In" Apple media launch held on March 20 where the unveiling of MacBook 2016 was expected to happen. However, no mentions of Apple's line of laptops were heard during the media conference as the company was seen focused on their mobile phone line beginning with the rehashed older model iPhone SE. However, as reported in the DigiTimes website, the announcement of the new generation MacBook Air skipped the "Let Us Loop You In" media launch and will be done during Apple's Worldwide Development Conference (WWDC) 2016 event instead. WWDC 2016 will be held in June at San Francisco, California.
It was also rumored that the announcement of Apple's brand new line of laptops did not push through last March 20 because the company wanted the "Let Us Loop You In" event to focus on the iPhone line. Therefore, the launching of the new laptops will be done at a later event which is the WWDC 2016.
Even though there is limited to no confirmed information at all regarding the contents and features of Apple's much anticipated laptop design, rumors have already started to spread regarding MacBook Air 2016's specs. The specs rumors of MacBook Air 2016 include the use of single USB-C port and Intel's latest generation of Skylake core processor. Having Skylake processor to power up the latest MacBook Air is said to enhance the power efficiency as well to reduce the need of thicker device and ensure improved laptop performance.
As reported by Crossmap, Apple has yet to make an official statement on the development and expected launching of the laptop. The company has chosen to keep mum about their latest product even with the success of their previous design of MacBook Air.
