MacBook Air 2016 news, specs rumors: Leaked patent reveals all-touch pad design

Details about Apple's much-awaited upgraded version of MacBook Air laptops remain scarce as of the meantime, although there is no stopping the Mac user community to pass on rumors to each other regarding the thin-as-air Mac device. Perhaps one of the most interesting and boldest design feature rumored in MacBook Air 2016 is the all-touchpad appearance. This would mean that the new Apple laptops may be displaying touch pads all over the keyboard, with the display screen being touch sensitive as well.
The Bitbag noted an alleged Apple patent filed in September 2015 that was leaked to the public as a source of speculations for the gadget enthusiasts. The laptop design shown in the patent is bold and unique as it will sport a huge touchpad instead of a keyboard. The screen of the said laptop appears to allow user interaction through touch. The abstract described the laptop design as "configurable, force-sensitive input structure for an electronic device."
There are no known MacBooks scheduled for release by Apple since September last year, except for the anticipated MacBook Air and MacBook Pro upgrades this year. This sparked the speculation that the leaked patent is intended to be either MacBook Air's or MacBook Pro's new sophisticated build, although there is a possibility that both MacBook variants will feature this design.
The rumors about the MacBook Air 2016 having a detachable screen could not be confirmed for now, as Apple typically declines to lend credence to all the speculations spreading like wildfire.
As the public is patiently waiting for the upgraded MacBook Air laptops, some rumors might disappoint some Mac fans as Yibada reported that Apple may not even push through with the new Mac Air designs this year. Instead, the tech giant will focus on equally petite-looking 13-inch and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro 2016 laptops.
