'Lucifer' season 2 episode 4 spoilers, plot news: Chloe and Lucifer hunt down a serial killer; Amenadiel confronts Lucifer about their mother in 'Lady Parts'
Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe (Lauren German) team up to probe on a serial killer in the upcoming episode of Fox's hit mystery series "Lucifer" season 2.
Titled "Lady Parts," next week's episode will explore a case involving a new serial killer on the loose. According to the official synopsis, Chloe and Lucifer will track down a murderer after two dead bodies of young L.A. transplants are discovered to be poisoned. Meanwhile, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) invites Chloe to go out and have drinks, which the innocent detective initially perceives as an act of friendship. As it turns out, it is actually part of a bet between Lucifer and Maze. Later, the duo is forced to make a shocking decision.
A new promo clip for episode 4 has been recently released, and it briefly features Lucifer having a heated confrontation with his brother Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), who convinces him to just bring their mother Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) back to Hell after striking a deal with their father. "You made a deal to return mom to hell. In exchange, Chloe's life was spared. What if dad decides to take back his side of the deal? " Amenadiel asks Lucifer, to which he casually replies: "I can't imagine dad to take much interest in that."
Speaking of TV Line, Helfer hinted that more serious storylines exploring the dynamic between Charlotte and her sons can be expected as the show moves forward. "In these Season 2 episodes, there's some stuff that's really funny, but when there is heartfelt stuff, it really affects you, you're really drawn in by it," she said. "Because you've got these two sons that haven't had their mother, in many ways they almost revert back to vulnerable boys who want her love, because they haven't had it."
The second season of "Lucifer" airs every Monday night at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
