Los Angeles Clippers trade rumors 2016: Blake Griffin to stay

Dozens of rumors have been released online about star player Blake Griffin being traded off from the Los Angeles Clippers, but it looks like Griffin is going to be staying for with his current basketball team for a while.
According to NESN, the Clippers president and head coach Doc Rivers has said that Griffin is not going anywhere and that he believes that Griffin will "retire as a Clipper." Numerous sources (and insiders close to Griffin) have been adamant in the fact that Griffin will be traded off the team, but it looks like those rumors have been debunked.
After breaking his hand in a fight with a team employee and suffering a hamstring injury that messed with his chances during the playoffs, Griffin has been enduring the most difficult season for him in his six-year career. He has only played 35 games, but his career averages are still on point with a 21.4 average on points and 6.9 on rebounds.
Griffin hasn't been the only person affected by the rumors as star point guard Chris Paul is also at plagued with rumors about him being traded off the team. Griffin and Paul are set to enter free agency next summer, which could either be really good or really bad for the LA Clippers.
Reports, however, are saying that the team is committed to keeping the two in the Clippers, and both players won't be exploring any trades either.
With the rumors coming out about Griffin's resigning from the team, some people could still speculate that Griffin's decision to stay could possibly be a reluctant move. The rumors have made the 26-year-old all-star forward one of the most sought-after players in the game, and many teams are hoping to add a "true superstar" to their roster.
