'Longmire' season 5 spoilers: Cast and director share updates on show's production; upcoming season due for September airdate?
Several "Longmire" season 5 spoilers from no less than the show's director and major cast members reveal that production is almost halfway through for the Netflix drama. This means a September airdate for the series is most likely. What could fans expect in the upcoming season?
Katee Sackhoff, who plays Vic on the series, shared via her Twitter account, that season 5's production is almost complete.
Even series director T.J. Scott has been actively posting updates on his Twitter page, and judging from the date of one of his tweets (posted on May 22), it looks like the cast and crew would have wrapped up filming for episode 7 by now.
Looking closely at the image attached to his tweet, episode 7 would be titled "From This Day Forward," and as early as now, fans are surmising that the episode would involve a wedding, particularly Vic and Walt's (Robert Taylor).
Whether the episode title points to an impending wedding or not is something viewers of the series would find out soon enough. However, Parent Herald said that given the nature of their relationship in the "Longmire" book series by Craig Johnson, a blossoming romance between Vic and Walt in "Longmire" season 5 could be expected.
Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry Standing Bear) also teased that his character and Mathias (Zahn McClarnon) will be spending more time together this season.
At the rate filming for "Longmire" season 5 is going, it won't be long before it goes to post-production, editing, and whatever else is needed for a fall premiere. CarterMatt reported that if the cast and crew are done with episode 7, fans should expect a September airdate on Netflix.
