'Longmire' season 5 air date, plot spoilers: Walt and Vic murdered?

In the fifth season of Netflix's crime drama TV series "Longmire," Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) and Vic Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) will reportedly be murdered by Henry Bear (Lou Diamond Philips) and Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman).

As previously reported, county sheriff Walt is expected to be in a romantic relationship with his deputy, Vic. However, Walt might have to break things off with Donna Sue (Ally Walker) before he can pursue a relationship with his deputy. In Craig Johnson's best-selling mystery novels, the duo ends up together. But according to recent speculations, the show might have something different in mind for its TV adaptation.

The rumor mill has churned some dark speculations about the show's upcoming season. Sources say that Walt's best friend and daughter will be preventing him from getting his happily-ever-after with Vic.

Henry and Cady will reportedly murder Walt and Vic in the forthcoming season. The reports started when rumors about season 5 being the last season of the show started to spread. However, many fans believe that the show will not end without Walt and Vic's wedding.

As shown in the trailer for the fifth season, Walt and Henry's friendship will go through a rocky stage when Walt finds that his best friend has been keeping huge secrets from him. Next season, Walt will find out that his best friend is a vigilante. The trailer revealed a scene in which the friends were in a heated conversation. They were arguing about disloyalty.

Will their fight escalate to a point where someone gets killed?
