'Longmire' season 5 air date, plot spoilers: First official trailer released; Tensions run high between Walt and Henry
Netflix's "Longmire" only has two weeks to go until its much-awaited season 5 premiere, and the first official trailer for the crime drama has been released.
The upcoming fifth season picks up right after the huge cliffhanger back in season 4, where an armed intruder entered Walt Longmire's (Robert Taylor) home and shot Walt and his girlfriend Dr. Donna Sue Monaghan (Ally Walker). As they recover in the hospital and try to make sense of the attack, Walt and Donna's future remain unclear. If one thing is for certain, someone is out to get Walt.
On another note, Cady (Cassidy Freeman) is forced to betray her father as she comes to terms with the deal she made with Jacob Nighthorse (A. Martinez). Ferg (Adam Bartley) starts a new relationship with someone who might have ulterior motives while Vic (Katee Sackhoff) finds a new sense of independence for herself. Henry (Lou Diamond Phillips) finds himself caught between two feuding groups and his loyalty to one might put his life in danger.
In the latest trailer, plenty of shootouts and street fights can be seen. One of the highlights in the promo clip is a heated confrontation between Henry and Walt. "All I ever do is try to help people," Walt tells Henry. "All I ever get in return is people lying to me." Henry fires back, saying: "You choose to see it as disloyalty." "Dishonesty isn't disloyalty," Walt clarifies his point.
Set in Big Sky country, Netflix's original crime drama "Longmire" is a story based on the Walt Longmire novel series by best-selling author Craig Johnson. Actor Dylan Walsh will be joining the next installment for a guest starring role. For fans who want to catch up on previous episodes, seasons 1 to 4 are currently available for streaming via Netflix.
