LG V20 release date, specs news 2016: LG V10 sequel taking sound to next level with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC

The highly-anticipated LG V20 will make history in the smartphone sound technology by becoming the first handset with a 32-bit HiFi Quad Digital-To-Analog converter.
Through this, LG will make listening to music a much smoother and greater experience by cutting down ambient noise so users can enjoy their tracks better.
For the 32-bit HiFi Quad Digital-To-Analog converter on the LG V20, LG collaborated with ESS Technology, which was also the company behind the 32-bit DAC on the LG V10.
The sound technology set to be employed on the highly-anticipated LG V20 will make users feel like they are listening from a high-end headphone.
Also, in the words of Robert Blair, president and chief executive officer of ESS Technology, the 32-bit HiFi Quad DAC will make a "professional home-audio system" out of the LG V20.
Explaining the LG V20's newest attraction in press release, LG said:
"A Quad DAC delivers a crisp and clear sound that comes closest to a live performance when using compatible wired headphones. Videos taken with the V20 are accompanied by a soundtrack that can capture the roaring sound of waves crashing on a beach or conversations among two individuals at a noisy party."
This new technology will be experienced in the LG V20 through wired headphones of course, which is a completely surprising direction considering how other companies look at flagships today.
Engadget notes LG's emphasis the use of the music separates, which competition like Apple and Motorola are looking to eliminate in their future releases.
LG Electronics and Mobile Communications president Juno Cho noted in the documents that sound experience is one of the key things that the company wants to see evolve in the smartphone world.
"Higher quality audio is simply the natural evolution of the smartphone, as the industry moves toward a more holistic multimedia consumption experience," he said.
The LG V20 will be officially unveiled on Sept. 6. Other exciting specs and features to expect include a fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup.
