LG G3 vs iPhone 6 Plus Review Roundup: LG G3 Offers More Raw Performance

YouTube

With Apple getting into the phablet market with the iPhone 6 Plus, it's time to compare it to the flagship phone from LG - the G3. The LG G3 might be smaller and cheaper than the iPhone 6 Plus but which of the two is the superior smartphone?

Starting with the display and screen of both phones, the iPhone 6 Plus' screen measures 5.5-inch and has 920 x 1,080 pixels which allow for 401 pixels per inch.

Comparatively the LG G3 manages to squeeze a 5.5 screen into a smaller body and provides a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with a density of 534 pixels per inch. Android Pit notes that since there aren't many 2K apps, users aren't going to get many benefits from the extra pixels on the LG G3.

As for review of the phones' design, the LG G3's metallic skin has been praised by many for its look. Some argue that it is nicer than the iPhone 6 Plus's aluminum case, but the latter - according to many - still has the better design, look and feel to it.

Comparing the processor and RAM of the phones, the iPhone6 Plus has a dual-core A8 processor with 1 GB of RAM, while the LG G3 has a quad-core 801 Snapdragon processor with 3GB of RAM. The iPhone 6 Plus is still running a dual-core processor, while the LG G3 runs a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip.

Jbgnews when comparing these two phones notes that "Clearly the unsung hero is the LG G3. Because in terms of what each phone has to offer for the price they are demanding, the LG G3 offers more raw performance."

As for Androidpit it concludes that if "you are ambivalent about Android vs iOS and want the most bang for your buck, we'd recommend the LG because it is widely discounted and is a huge saving compared to the iPhone 6 Plus."
