Lenovo Miix 520 release date, news, specs rumors: 2-in-1 gadget similar to Surface device, to be released early 2017?

When talking about to 2-in-1 hybrid devices, Microsoft's Surface devices would easily come to mind. However, some people could have also been missing out Lenovo's own line of hybrid tablets that boast unique specs features and design. In fact, Lenovo released its latest 2-in-1 Miix 510 tablet earlier this year. It is worthy to note that the Lenovo Miix 510 has just gone on sale recently, leading people to speculate that the electronics company might be coming up with the next iteration soon.
According to Game N Guide, the Lenovo Miix 520 is now in the works. The successor of the present Miix tablet is said to sport an all-new appearance with a much impressive lineup of specs. One of the most interesting changes in the Miix 520 is Intel's Kaby Lake chipset. The device being powered by the next generation Intel processor would mean that the Miix 520 would be faster and more efficient compared to the previous iterations. From Miix 510's 6 GB RAM, its successor is rumored to go as high as 16 GB, depending on the variant. As for the internal storage, the Lenovo Miix 520 is expected to boast storage capacity ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB SSD. The device's memory remains to be expandable via microSD card.
There will still be some similarities between the Miix 510 and Miix 520. According to Slash Gear, the Miix 520 will keep the12.2-inch 1920×1200 full HD screen. The screen display is still supported for Wacom technology and 2048 levels of pressure. Likewise, the Lenovo Miix 520 will still sport the same kickstand design with Lenovo's signature watchband hinges.
The online publication also mentioned that the kickstand design of the Lenovo Miix 520 is reminiscent of the previous Surface Pro tablets. However, there are some distinct descriptions of each product that separate them from each other.
The speculations are rife that the Lenovo Miix 520 will arrive in the early months. For now, Lenovo has not yet confirmed the arrival of the Miix 520, so the tech followers are advised to take the early rumors with a grain of salt until the company has finally unveiled the official details regarding the device.
