Lego Movie 2, 3, 4 Release Date: 3 Sequels to Premiere 2016, 2017, 2018

"The Lego Movie" released last year was a success, so it is not surprising at all for Warner Bros to plan a sequel for it. In fact, there will be three sequels – "The Lego Batman Movie," "Ninjago" and "The Lego Movie 2."
Chris Miller and Phil Lord, writers and directors for the "The Lego Movie," were also responsible for hit comedy animations "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "Jump Street." They revealed that although they may be writing the sequel for the film, another person may be assigned to direct it. Apparently, they want to see a different "take" on the story to find out how other directors can come up with a unique and creative voice for the film.
Chris Miller spilled a little spoiler for the upcoming movie, "The Lego 2," saying that will be set a few years after the first, which gives fans a totally different premise after the time jump. Miller said that they want to see "what happens to that boy who's in the meta story in the first movie when he's four years older."
The premise is interesting in the sense that people do grow up and it changes how we all deal with toys and childhood.
There's still a long way to go and these spoilers are surely subject to a lot of changes, but for fans, spoilers are always welcome!
"The Lego Movie 2" is scheduled for release in 2018 while "The Lego Batman" is slated for Feb. 10, 2017. "Ninjago," on the other hand, will be released earlier than the two movies as it is scheduled on Oct. 14, 2016.
