'Legends of Tomorrow' season 2 spoilers, updates: Caity Lotz reveals premiere title, Legends take on new responsibility as time cops

Caity Lotz, who portrays Sara Lance a.k.a. White Canary in the hit superhero series "Legends of Tomorrow," recently revealed the premiere title for the upcoming season 2.

In a Twitter post, the actress shared a photo of the first script for the show. "Out of Time" is the title of episode 1 and the story was written by Greg Berlanti and Chris Fedak ,with a teleplay by Marc Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer. Dermott Downs, who directed the action-packed season 1 finale, is also in charge of directing the sophomore season's premiere episode.

Lotz previously shared that her character will have a new love interest this season and that she looks forward to the upcoming crossovers with other superhero shows. "Yes, crossovers are what I'm most excited for," she told MovieFone, "just because the potential of that! I want to go on 'The Flash.' I want everybody to come on to our show."

In the Spoiler Room segment of Entertainment Weekly, producer Marc Guggenheim shared details on what fans can expect from season 2. He mentioned that the time-travelling series will see the team face a new task as time cops. "In many ways, the season finale of Season One set up the new mission statement for Season Two," Guggenheim explained. "Like Rip says at the end of the season finale, there basically are no more Time Masters. We basically have to be the Time Masters."

For the uninitiated, the Time Masters are a group of individuals who guard the timeline. They keep a close eye on it to make sure that there are no disruptions in history. It was later on revealed that they were corrupt, leading Rip and the rest of the team to take away their ability to change timelines. With the Time Masters gone for good, the Legends might fill in their spot and help out history on its right course.

Tune in to the season 2 premiere of "Legends of Tomorrow" which airs on Thursday, October 13 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
