'Legends of Tomorrow' season 2 spoilers, plot news: Caity Lotz teases new love interest for White Canary and possible crossover with 'The Flash'; Albert Einstein to be included in cast of characters
New episodes of "Legends of Tomorrow" will soon hit the screens when the superhero series returns for its sophomore season this Fall, and actress Caity Lotz dished juicy details about the show's much-anticipated comeback
Lotz plays the role of Sara Lance a.k.a. White Canary, and she recently talked to Movie Fone to discuss details on what she looks forward to the most as the series progresses. "Crossovers are what I'm most excited for, just because the potential of that!" said the actress. "I want to go on The Flash. I want everybody to come on to our show. I want to see, like, especially with Earth Two on Flash, I think it'd be really cool to kind of see the Black Siren, which is Katie Cassidy. I want to see Katie Cassidy and Danielle Panabaker's evil alter egos. I want to go head-to-head with them."
In terms of her character, Lotz hints that Sara might finally give love another shot this season, saying: "I think Sara might get a new girlfriend!" When asked about the possibility of any of Sara's old flames returning, Lotz hopes that it would happen at some point in the plot. "You know, I sure hope so. Katrina Law is one of my favorite humans. She's got a new show, 'Training Day,' so hopefully we can steal her away. She worked it in her deal so that she could come and see us!" she added.
On another note, a historical figure will also be included in the storyline — Albert Einstein. As noted by TVLine, Rip Hunter and his crew will meet Einstein during a trip back to 1942. The heroes will try to save one of history's greatest minds, but they will be surprised when they see another side of Einstein which is far more different than what they read in the history books.
