The CW recently released a bunch of new photos from the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2, and they show Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), the titular character in the network's "Arrow," along with several familiar faces.

The photos, which were released on Tuesday, Sept. 6, were from the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 premiere episode titled "Out of Time."

Apart from Green Arrow, the "Arrow" villain Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) also appears in the images. Darhk will reportedly be teaming up with "The Flash" villains Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), as well as "Arrow" villain Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), to create the Legion of Doom.

The season 2 opener will reportedly find the Legends scattered across time and new series addition Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) having to locate each one of them. After chasing and fighting Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) all throughout the show's first season and eventually learning the truth about the Time Masters, the Legends will have to take on the task of preserving the timeline by themselves. The Waverider crew will also reportedly be getting some help from the Justice Society of America, who will be their allies in the fight against the Legion of Doom.

Victor Garber, who plays Martin Stein/Firestorm in "Legends," teased the upcoming second season in a recent interview with Den of Geek. When asked which times and places he would like to explore in the new season of the time-hopping comics-based series, the actor answered, "Honestly, I'm more interested in 'what,' how the group dynamic is affected by the changes that happen from last season."

"And I don't really know what they are specifically, but I know that they are planning to do things... whether we're in one period of time longer," he added.

Garber also spoke about Stein's decision at the end of season 1 to stay and continue helping Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill). According to the actor, while the decision was based partly on Stein's curiosity, "I think he, also, recognized he has a purpose. A greater purpose."

"And I think that's a huge thing for anybody, when they think, 'Oh, there's more than just me, maybe I can be of service.' And that's a nice thing," he added.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will debut on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
