'Left 4 Dead 3' release date update: E3 2016 appearance expected?

It has been heavily speculated by the fans that Valve is already working on the next installment of the "Left 4 Dead" game franchise. The last "Left 4 Dead" video game was released in older PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, and many players think that it is high time for Valve to release a new "Left 4 Dead" title that will feature all the modern contents in the gaming world today. Many people expect "Left 4 Dead 3" to be unveiled this month at E3 2016, and there are hints that the game is already underway.

Just recently, Turtle Rock Studios, the game studio partner of Valve for the previous "Left 4 Dead" titles, released several job listings online for an unconfirmed project that they are currently doing. According to the job listings, Turtle Rock Studios is looking for a narrative director, animation programmer, senior character artist, among many others. Many fans got excited with the latest job postings by the studio as it could be intended for the team that will work on "Left 4 Dead 3." However, Ecumenical News reported that Turtle Rock Studios' job listing for future projects is an unannounced IP. This means that the project cannot be "Left 4 Dead 3."

Moreover, Turtle Rock Studios co-founder Phil Robb revealed that the next sequel of "Left 4 Dead" will no longer come from them, Xbox Achievements reported.

"I think we're pretty much done with it. It's Valve's thing now. We've kind of gone off in our own direction. So I'd kinda like to see something new being done with it, and Valve always does great stuff, but it'd be cool to go back to it as just a fan and not a developer. But I doubt you'll see anything from us," said Robb.

On the other hand, an ex-Valve employee named Minh Le, also known as "Gooseman," revealed that Valve is already working on a follow-up video game after "Left 4 Dead 2." According to Express UK, Valve wants to develop fresh and exciting ideas that should be included in "Left 4 Dead 3." While Valve has not confirmed a new "L4D" sequel, Gooseman said that "Left 4 Dead 3" is set to be released in 2017.
