Lady Gaga music news: 'Joanne' album named after singer's late aunt

After years of hiatus from the music scene, Pop superstar Lady Gaga released her single "Perfect Illusion." The song will be part of her new album titled "Joanne," which is named after her late aunt.
The singer tweeted a photo of what appeared to be the album cover for "Joanne." Gaga captioned it with, "#Joanne how do you live every moment as your last in the name of someone who can't." The actress then explained where she got the title of her album from, "Joanne was my father's sister. Died 1974. She was 19." The singer's late aunt passed away from Lupus 12 years before she was born.
Joanne is also Gaga's middle name and the name of her parents' Italian restaurant.
Gaga revealed that the heart of her album is about the influences of all the men in her life. She also said that music has been her instrument in figuring out those relationships.
Furthermore, in creating her album, she wanted to revisit a time when people connected without social media. The singer wishes to build relationships with her fans through this particular album. She hopes that her music will inspire people to nurture their relationships with others without having to lose themselves in this overwhelming social media era.
"I kept envisioning this girl in the middle of the country somewhere crying her eyes out in the field with a drink in her hand and her kid in the other, going, 'I can't believe that Lady Gaga understands how I feel,'" Lady Gaga told E!, adding "The point of this record was to find that human connection with the world in a deeper way."
The Grammy award winning songstress will be performing in dive bars across the country, which according to her, is reminiscent of how she started as a singer. For Gaga's upcoming shows, she will be partnering with Bud Light Music.
Lady Gaga's fifth album "Joanne" is expected to launch on Friday, Oct. 21.
