Kingdom Hearts release date news: Game set for a 2017 release?
"Kingdom Hearts" game publisher, Square Enix, is still mum about providing specific details pertaining to the game's release date and gameplay, however, fans are still hopeful that the rumored release in 2017 will be confirmed by the company soon.
According to reports, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is currently in development and its plot and storylines are still being finalized. However, there is still no official word from the company and fans are eager to know more.
Since the game's announcement in Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2013, players have been waiting for it to be released. Numerous rumors have already circulated since its launching, which include a big release in 2015 and 2016. However, fans realized that it is not going to happen since the company has not done anything to build the hype for the game.
Meanwhile, Steve Burton who has worked with "Kingdom Hearts" as a voice actor has teased fans on the possible return of Cloud Strife in the next installment. He added that he will be doing something and will tell everyone about it soon. Fans found Burton's statement interesting and it has certainly increased the hype a little bit.
Cloud Strife, along with other "Final Fantasy VII" characters such as Yuffie Kisaragi, Tifa Lockheart, Sephiroth, and Cid have been part of the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise. He was an antagonist along with Hades in the first installment and if rumors prove to be true, fans will be seeing more of him in the upcoming game.
Meanwhile, Square Enix has previously confirmed the addition of Disney worlds to the next game of the series. "Hercules," "Tangled," and "Big Hero" were all announced. However, there are rumors that more of Disney will be added to the game like "The Jungle Book", "Toy Story," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Brave," "Monsters Inc.," "The Emperor's New Groove," and "Wall-E."
At this time, all fans can do is wait for the announcement from the company with regard to the details of its release.
