'Kingdom Hearts 3' news: Release date set for 2017?

Fans of the "Kingdom Hearts" game franchise are itching to get their hands on the latest offering from famed game developer Square Enix: the "Kingdom Hearts 3." Despite the pre-order currently being offered by Amazon with an indicated Dec. 30, 2016 release date, word on the street is that a Jan. 2, 2017 release is in order.
According to News Everyday, there are claims that customers get e-mails from Amazon clarifying the confusion among customers who already pre-ordered the said game. The message from Amazon reads, "Customers may have received an e-mail from Amazon stating that this title is scheduled to release on [Jan. 2, 2017]. Please note that the placeholder release date for this game is [Dec. 31, 2016], and [Jan. 1, 2017] just happens to be the next shipping day after that placeholder date. No actual release date is confirmed at this time. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused."
One of the recently confirmed characters to take part in the upcoming game is Disney's "Goofy." Reports say that veteran voice actor Bill Farmer, who has been lending his voice to the well-loved character dropped hints concerning his participation in the third installment of "Kingdom Hearts." Given that the game is linked to the worlds of Disney and Final Fantasy, fans are speculating about the characters who will be in the game. however, Square Enix seems to keep the lid on details regarding the game.
The upcoming action role-playing game "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be available to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be the first game in the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise to be featured on a Microsoft platform It is the eleventh game in the lineup and serves as the concluding chapter in the Dark Seeker saga.
