Kendrick Lamar and Sia collaboration new song 2016: 'The Greatest' MV features Maddie Ziegler

Singer-songwriter Sia recently launched the music video for "The Greatest" over the Labor Day weekend. The song featured rapper Kendrick Lamar and "Dance Moms" alum Maddie Ziegler.
The 13-year-old "Dance Moms" alum had been featured in several of Sia's music videos—"Chandelier," "Elastic Heart," and "Big Girls Cry."
Like her previous videos, this one had a lot of dancing, with Ziegler taking the spotlight. This time, Ziegler was joined by a horde of young dancers, 48 to be specific. Initially, the kids were locked up in cell until Ziegler freed them all. Once they were out, they busted into a well-choreographed interpretative dance.
Once freed, the children became rather wild and showed a range of facial expressions that could be interpreted as "elated or just plain goofy," Rolling Stone reported. Towards the end the kids were drained and knocked out, and they were once again locked up in a cell.
According to Paste Magazine, Ziegler and the 48 children in Sia's music video dedicated their dance number to the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting in June, which claimed the lives of 49 people.
When "The Greatest" was launched, the dancers were quick to share the video on social media. Dancer Matt Moseley posted on Instagram, "Humbled to be a part of this video. Thank you @siathisisacting. 49 beautiful lives lost. This is for you. #WeAreYourChildren."
Although Sia collaborated with Lamar for the original song, his part was not included in music video version. The song featuring Lamar can be streamed on Spotify.
"The Greatest" is the first single Sia has released since debuting her seventh album titled "This is Acting" last January. For the first time, the singer claimed the top spot of the Billboard 100 last July with "Cheap Thrills," featuring Sean Paul.
Sia will begin touring this fall and Ziegler will reportedly join her.
