Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan news: Behind-the-scene tension going on for a long time?

It has been almost two weeks since the drama between Michael Strahan, Kelly Ripa and ABC happened, and it seems like the fire has not yet died down.
For five years, Ripa and Strahan have been hosting ABC's "Live! With Kelly and Michael" together, inviting viewers into their lives which made them a part of most people's daily routine. However, a drama stirred up after the network and Strahan "blindsided" his co-host Ripa when news broke out that he will be exiting the show for a lucrative offer to be a host in "Good Morning America." Apparently, Ripa only found out about Strahan's departure just before it was announced publicly, feeling kept in the dark all along.
Following the shocking news, Ripa took an unscheduled four-day break, stating that she "earned the right" of doing so after being in the show for a long time. Ripa returned Tuesday, but The Cold War backstage might be far from over. Reports about off-screen tension involving the two hosts are currently making rounds online. According to New York Post's Page Six, an insider claims that Strahan "quickly became a diva" after he first joined "Live!" in 2012. A source identified as a media honcho also mentioned how Strahan's charismatic personality was just a front. "When he doesn't need to be on, he shuts down and can be selfish," the honcho said. The source added that Ripa was not blameless, as she reportedly "started to freeze [Michael] out" after his career started reaching new heights.
Actress Bellamy Young from "Scandal" was the celebrity guest when Ripa came back after the shake-up, and she admitted feeling the tension too. "They were tense, bless their hearts," Bellamy told E! News. "Backstage there was some tension because it could have gone any way, but once it got underway it was beautiful."
Strahan's departure has been moved earlier than expected, as he will leave "Live!" on May 13.
