The 22-year-old pop singer posted a selfie on Instagram on Saturday evening and wrote "Resting up for the show in Philly. It's gonna be a good one mark my words." Bieber didn't mention the new ink on his face but followers were quick to take notice.

According to Us Weekly, Bieber and his friend Joe Termini got matching tattoos just below their eyes on Friday night before the pop star's mini-concert in Manhattan. They stopped by West 4th Tattoo Parlor in New York City where Bieber's 51st tattoo was added.

"Yes, I did tattoo a small cross near the corner of Justin's eye," tattoo artist Jonathan "JonBoy" Valena, told E! News. "It was a representation of his faith in Jesus and his journey with finding purpose in God."

Bieber is currently making headlines not just for the hit songs for his current album "Purpose" for which he's promoting on a tour across the country but also because of his recent interviews where he talked largely about his Christian faith. He even invited his Billboard interviewer to church.

"At this point, my faith has gotten me to where I am. My faith has brought me to a whole other level. I love talking about my faith. I think that with Christians, they've left such a bad taste in people's mouths. Just like, overly pushy with the subject, overly churchy and religious." Justin Bieber shared with Complex Magazine, as reported by Breathecast. He even refers to Jesus Christ as a healer. "We have the greatest healer of all and his name is Jesus Christ. And he really heals. This is it. It's time that we all share our voice. Whatever you believe. Share it. I'm at a point where I'm not going to hold this in."
