Canadian pop artist Justin Bieber reportedly attended a Bible study hosted by the Pittsburg Steelers NFL team ahead of their Sunday game against the New York Jets.

Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats tweeted a photo of himself with the 20-year-old pop sensation at the Bible study, held Saturday evening at a chapel in New York City. "Just met Justin Bieber at the Steelers Bible study tonight!" Moats tweeted.

Defensive end Cam Heyward also shared a photo of himself with Bieber on social media with the caption: "Didn't know he was a steelers fan, but welcome to steelernation @justinbieber."

"Great to meet Justin Bieber tonight at the chapel! Thanks for coming!" Bruce Gradkowski. Steelers quarterback, added on Twitter.

Despite Bieber's attendance, the Steelers lost to the New York Jets on Nov. 9 in New York City by 20 to 13.

The Hollywood Life celebrity website reported that Bieber may be using his Christian religion to win back the heart of ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, who is a professed Christian herself.

Some sports media outlets have even suggested that Bieber cursed the Steelers by showing up at Saturday's Bible study. Some on social media have started the "Curse of Bieber" rumor that suggests the pop star curses sports teams he follows.

"With Bieber jumping on Steelers bandwagon, play all your Jets in fantasy tomorrow. Steelers guaranteed to lose now," tweeted NFL columnist for the Bleacher Report Mike Freeman.

"My steelers are definitely gonna lose tomorrow. Just saw that the team was hanging with Justin freakin Bieber tonight," added PGA player Steve Wheatcroft.
